Partido Inc. ("Partido," "we," "us," or "our") operates Aspiro (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
We know Aspiro involves something personal — your prayers, reflections, and beliefs — and we've written this policy to reflect that. If you have questions after reading it, contact us at the address in Section 11.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, and other details you provide when you register or set up your profile.
- Content you create: prayers, reflections, posts, comments, messages, and anything else you write, share, or send within the Service ("User Content").
- Communications: messages you send to our support or legal teams.
Information we collect automatically:
- Device and usage data: app version, device model and operating system, crash logs, and general usage activity (such as features used and session length), which we use to operate and improve the Service.
- Notification data: a device token used to deliver notifications you've requested.
- Location (if you choose to share it): if you add a city or location to your profile, or grant the Service location access, we collect and, depending on your visibility settings, may display that information.
- Advertising and analytics identifiers: device- or install-level identifiers used to measure how people find and use the Service. See Section 3 for how this data is shared and Section 9 for your controls.
- Cookies and similar technologies: on our website, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it's used.
Information from third parties:
- Billing status: the app stores and other payment platforms that process your purchases share subscription and transaction status with us (for example, whether a subscription is active).
- Acquisition analytics: analytics and attribution partners share aggregated or identifier-level data about how users discover and install the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the Service: manage your account, operate the social feed and sharing features, and process billing.
- Power the AI companion: generate reflections, prayers, and conversational responses to your prompts. To make the companion more useful over time, we may retain and use context from your conversations — such as recurring themes or stated preferences — to personalize future responses to you. This works similarly to the memory or personalization features offered by other AI assistants, and you can ask us to clear it (Section 9).
- Keep the Service secure and working: diagnose and fix bugs, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Communicate with you: respond to support requests and send service-related notices.
- Understand and improve growth: measure the performance of our marketing and acquisition efforts.
On AI training: We do not use the content of your private prayers, reflections, or messages to train AI models. Where we use usage data to improve the Service, we use it in de-identified or aggregated form.
Where applicable law requires it (for example, the GDPR), our basis for these uses is your consent, our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, or compliance with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share the content of your private prayers, reflections, or messages with advertisers.
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers: companies that host our infrastructure, process data on our behalf (including the AI providers that generate responses to your prompts), or provide customer support tools. These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us, and are prohibited from using it to train their own models or for their own independent purposes.
- Billing platforms: the app stores and payment platforms that process your purchases and subscriptions.
- Analytics and attribution partners: to measure marketing performance, we share device- or install-level identifiers and conversion events (such as app installs and sign-ups) with analytics and attribution partners. We do not share User Content with these partners.
- Content you share: anything you post publicly, or share with other users through the Service's sharing features, is visible according to the visibility settings you choose.
- Legal and safety reasons: if required by law or legal process, or if we believe in good faith it's necessary to protect the safety of any person, prevent fraud, or protect the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers: if Partido is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a policy at least as protective.
Depending on your jurisdiction, sharing identifiers with analytics or attribution partners for measurement purposes may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information under certain state privacy laws, even though no money changes hands. See Section 9 for how to opt out.
4. Sensitive Information
Because Aspiro is a faith companion, the content you share with it may reveal your religious or philosophical beliefs. In some jurisdictions, this is treated as a special or sensitive category of personal information, subject to added protections. By using the Service, you consent to our processing of this information as described in this Policy for the purposes described in Section 2; where the law requires a more specific form of consent, we will ask for it separately (for example, at account setup).
You may have additional rights over sensitive personal information, including the right to limit certain uses of it — see Section 9.
A note on content about other people: if your prayers or posts mention other people (for example, a family member's health), please avoid including sensitive details about them that they haven't chosen to share themselves.
5. International Data Transfers
Partido is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries where our infrastructure and providers operate. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.
- Account deletion: you can delete your account at any time in the app. When you do, we delete your account and profile information and your private content from our active systems.
- Shared content: content you've posted publicly or shared with other users may remain visible to them even after you delete your account, since it's part of their experience of the Service too. You can delete individual posts or messages before deleting your account if you'd like them removed first.
- Backups: like most cloud services, we maintain backups for disaster recovery, which are retained for a limited period before being overwritten and are not used for any other purpose.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or port the personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before your withdrawal.
- Opt out of the sharing of identifiers for cross-context advertising or analytics purposes, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Automated decision-making: We do not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without human involvement.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, and we'll respond within the time required by applicable law. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) where required by law.
If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority.
Tracking permissions: you can control app tracking and advertising identifiers through your device's privacy settings at any time.
Clearing companion context: you can ask us to clear the context our AI companion has retained about you by contacting [email protected], or through in-app settings where available.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the app.
